FESTIVAL CALENDAR

The 2012 Winters’ Plein Air Festival will celebrate the ambiance of Winters, California.

Downtown at Dusk Friday, May 3, 3pm - dusk
(all painters are asked to participate)
Plein Air artists will capture the local ambiance and architecture of downtown Winters.
 Cinco de BowWow Saturday, May 5, Pet Parade & Community Picnic
Plein Air artists will capture the muse of an old fashioned Main St in downtown Winters.

Quick Draw Friday May 11, 3–6pm
You will be amazed at the results! Be a part of the excitement!  Easels will be set up all around downtown Winters for paintings to be created and sold on the spot.  Artists will have three hours to capture the ambiance of downtown Winters on a Friday night, while creating a painting for you to take home with you that night!  
 
Grand Opening Gala Friday May 11, 7-10pm
Artists Reception
Be the first to view and purchase paintings created during the festival.  Meet the artists.  Enjoy a fabulous, organic, Field to Fork meal.  $100 per person. (participating artist & one guest $25 each)  All proceeds will benefit the Plein Air Festival and promotion of the Arts in Winters.

Art, Wine & Food Saturday May 12, 12-6pm
Celebration in Newts Alley
Wine Roots to Wine Cooperative, featuring 11 wineries.
Food (all Winters Eateries are invited to participate)
Art Plein Air Artists demonstrating their skills, creating still life, and portraits on the spot.  View festival art at Fortify.

Hi Sue..The Coastal Arts League in Half Moon Bay is celebrating its 27th annual juried show.and this year they have Lance Fung as the juror. He is a curator, artist, gallery owner and head of  Lance Fung Collaboratives  (hhtp://www.fungcollaboratives.org )The prospectus is on  CAL's  website at  coastalartsleague.com. Show is juried in November.Please pass the information on to our fellow artists.  Thanks

 Announcement:
The Napa City-County Library invites artists to apply to a juried competition with award winners’ work displayed in the Napa Main Library. Media: Painting, graphics, watercolors, photography, mixed media that are sized 20” to 36” generally show well.  A cd of digital images is required for the competition that is judged by our Committee.
